The BMW Concept of electric ix3

The Concept iX3 looks like an X3 with the grille from the BMW i Vision Dynamics concept. It’s a new take on BMW’s trademark “twin-kidney” grille that probably won’t sit well with fans, given how much the traditional design has been altered. But we wouldn’t be surprised to see the grille and other styling elements from the Concept iX3 carry over to the production model.

the iX3 is equipped with a 270-horsepower electric motor and a 70 kWh battery that provides a power reserve of over 400 kilometers. In addition, the electric car supports charging stations with the power of 150 kW, due to what the replenishment of the energy reserve takes place in half an hour.

Visually the model differs from the serial BMW X3 with more aerodynamic body and wheel disks, combined elements of the original radiator grille and blue accents on the body. The car design uses more compact and efficient components of the electrical system and a scalable platform.

BMW iX3 Electric SUV Caught Testing

BMW has only confirmed its intention of bringing the electric version of the X3, as it was recently spotted with bare minimum clothing, showing off the huge battery pack below the passenger cabin.

BMW is working on electric powertrains for its portfolio is known. Now, spy shots have emerged of the new electric X3 SUV, dubbed as iX3, which also happens to be the next electric vehicle coming from the German stable. The Bavarian company had recently trademarked every badge from the iX1 to iX9 suggesting that new electric vehicles are in the pipeline. However, till now, the company has only confirmed its intention of bringing the electric version of the X3, as it was recently spotted with bare minimum clothing, showing off the huge battery pack below the passenger cabin. Although the company has not yet announced when it plans to launch the iX3, but reports suggest it could be as soon as early next year. We have our fingers crossed on this one!

The new BMW iX3, although still in prototype stage, sports a different fascia than its conventional sibling, and also sheds the twin exhaust, suggesting a plug-in port in place. This could be so to differentiate the EV from the IC engine version. Apart from this, it seems the ride height has also shrunken from the conventional X3, suggesting an improvement in its aerodynamics. This could also result in milking out extra miles out from the electric battery pack.
