The most expensive and cheapest cities in the world 2018, The British magazine Economist Intelligence Unit ( EIU ) presented the rating of the most expensive and cheapest cities in the world over the past year, TASS reported. There are 133 cities in the list.

The main criterion for evaluation was the standard of living in New York. At the head of the ranking was Singapore, the second line was occupied by Paris and Zurich, in third place - Hong Kong. Close the top ten Israeli Tel Aviv and Australian Sydney.

Moscow and St. Petersburg are located on the twelfth and fourteenth places, having risen for six years in a year. The authors of the study named one of the reasons for the growth of the "strong ruble". The absence of the first ten American cities, they explained the fall in the dollar.

As experts noted, the cost of living in cities depends on their location: thus, the determining factor for Asian cities is the cost of products, for
European prices for services.

The cheapest cities on the planet, which ranked last in the ranking, were Damascus (Syria), Caracas (Venezuela) and Alma-Ata (Kazakhstan).
